The role is based out of Thailand.
The purpose of the SLICE Coordinator is to work alongside the Thailand Director of Training providing logistical and managerial pre-field preparation for SLICE participants. He/she will be responsible for getting all the requirements completed by each prospective SLICE participant before they begin the program and communicate with the various team members who will be receiving and working with the participants. This ministry role is full time and support-raising is required. The SLICE Coordinator has the ability to work on site and from home on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain informative, timely communication with participants and the Thailand Director of Training throughout the entire inquiry to arrival process
- Have a clear understanding of GFM’s SLICE program and pre-field process (including MTS) and communicate those steps concisely and completely with those making inquiries
- Strategy: Work with participants to finalize a good long-term ministry strategy
- Language: Share language learning options with participants and hold them accountable to work their language learning strategy
- Identity: Work with participants to secure their long-term visa for Thailand
- Culture: Bring each participant through our cultural orientation
- Exalt Jesus: Help participants identify ways to stay accountable to thrive in their relationship with Jesus
- Shelter: Help participants find proper housing and furniture for long-term success
- Manage all logistics for the SLICE program activities – travel dates, collecting/checking deposit fees, receiving final payments, confirming hotel booking, etc.
- Assist the Thailand Director of Training and other leaders with administrative needs inside GFM Thailand
- Stay informed of the current needs, staff roles, and opportunities within GFM
Required Qualifications
- Must personally embrace GFM’s purpose, vision, values, and statement of faith
- Must identify as a maturing believer in Jesus Christ with a high view of Scripture (2 Tim 3:16-17; Col 3:16-17)
- Must demonstrate humility, teachability, and an ability to work well with others (Eph 4:15)
- Must display advanced interpersonal relational skills and be dedicated to peacemaking (Heb 10:24-25)
- Must function well both independently and in a team environment (1 Cor 12:25-26)
- Must be able use or learn internal communications and technology systems (Email, Google Drive, Slack, CRM, etc.)
- Must possess experience in administration and program/staff supervision
- Must be ready to experience significant missions training and discipleship through GFM’s Missionary Training School (in person sessions or online)
Recommended
- A College Degree is preferred but not required; informal training/experience in administration, communications, team building, human resource management, organization, leadership, and/or ministry will be considered
